In Ukraine, court passes first verdict for COVID certificates forgery – Health Ministry
KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In Ukraine, the court announced the first verdict for forgery of COVID certificates, a doctor from Pavlohrad (Dnipropetrovsk region) was deprived of the right to work in his specialty for one year and will pay a fine of UAH 34,000.
"The court issued the first verdict for counterfeiting COVID certificates. The first court decision on the verdict for counterfeiting COVID certificates was made last week," the press service of the Ministry of Health said on Telegram on Monday, quoting head of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko as saying.
As Klymenko said at a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, a doctor from Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region received a fine of UAH 34,000 and deprivation of the right to work in his specialty for one year.
The information emphasizes that over the past week, 13 searches were carried out and 12 criminal proceedings were initiated.
