In few days, evacuation from de-occupied territories of Kharkiv region to be organized – Vereschuk
KHARKIV. Sept 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv region, where there is no telecom communication and Internet, the police will conduct door-to-door visits and offer people to evacuate, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereschuk has said.
"We have an operational evacuation plan, but, indeed, there is a problem with communication, since there is no restored power there [there is no power supply], and consequently, there are no providers, there is no way to convey information to people… We will use door-to-door visits by the police. The national police, who conduct door-to-door visits and verification of residents, will offer evacuation to everyone," Vereschuk said at a briefing in Kharkiv.
According to her, volunteers and local authorities will also participate in compiling lists for evacuation from the de-occupied territories. In addition, in the coming days, a chat bot will begin to work, through which it will be possible to sign up for evacuation. At the same time, she noted that not all residents agreed to leave their homes, despite the ongoing shelling.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the evacuation from the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv region would be organized following the example of Donetsk region.
"Give us a few more days and the same thing will happen in Kharkiv region," Vereschuk promised.
