In difficult external situation, authorities 'rock boat' instead of countering aggression – European Solidarity
KYIV. Dec 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The current government, headed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in the face of a difficult external situation and the threat of a Russian invasion, is "rocking the boat" and fighting the opposition instead of joining forces to counter aggression, the European Solidarity party said.
"Instead of focusing on urgent measures to strengthen the country’s defenses, they are at war with their political opponent, hunting fictional ‘enemies’ of Zelensky. Instead of accepting Poroshenko’s strategic and tactical proposals for diplomatic and military opposition to Putin, Zelensky began a new round of aggression against Poroshenko and the entire opposition. In a difficult external situation, the authorities themselves rock the boat, instead of joining forces to counter aggression," the press service of the political force said, commenting on the information about the possibility of a military invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and the preparation of a new report on suspicion of fifth president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
The party said that the criminal proceedings launched against Poroshenko were fabricated and are an attempt of illegal pressure from the authorities.
"Under constant illegal pressure from Zelensky against Petro Poroshenko, more than a hundred different criminal cases have already been fabricated. All of them are politically motivated and completely made up. The so-called coal business is also a fake and a lie that are fabricated on Bankova as a result of Zelensky’s personal fears and complexes," the commentary says.
As former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, lawyer Viktor Trepak said earlier, in the near future the Prosecutor General’s Office may bring suspicion to fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the case of coal supplies from ORDLO as part of the investigation into the case of Viktor Medvedchuk.
