IMF head after negotiations with Ukrainian PM announces preparation of next steps to support country
KYIV. Sept 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva and Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal discussed the possibilities of strengthening the support of Ukraine from the IMF on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
"Our teams are preparing next steps and in-depth discussions on economic policies. IMF is a steadfast partner of Ukraine," Georgieva said on Twitter after the meeting.
