IFC, NBU launch Digital Data Corridors initiative for simplified access of European financial institutions to refugees data
KYIV. Aug 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – IFC, in cooperation with Ukrainian Credit Bureaus and the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), has launched the Digital Data Corridors initiative, which is designed to enable European financial institutions to quickly verify the identity of Ukrainian clients online, exchange credit histories and bank transaction data, IFC said in a press release on Friday.
"IFC’s Digital Data Corridors initiative brings together a coalition of credit information providers, financial institutions, and industry experts to allow financial institutions to work electronically across borders and receive international credit histories, identity verification, and bank transaction data in real time," IFC said.
With this information, Ukrainian refugees in host countries will be able to get easier access to credit cards, loans, and other services.
