IDPs in Zaporizhia can receive financial assistance from Czech-based People in Need
KYIV. March 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – IDPs in Zaporizhia can receive financial assistance from the Czech public organization People in Need, the office works in the Zaporizhia. Joint Action Platform hub, opened by Metinvest mining and metallurgical company.
According to a press release, the People in Need office is implementing a multi-purpose cash assistance program for internally displaced persons (IDP) in Zaporizhia region. Here they can apply for financial assistance for themselves and their families. One of the conditions for providing financial assistance is that during the last three months they have not received similar payments from other international organizations.
People in Need promises a payment of UAH 6,600 per capita. Payments are made in the Joint Action Platform hub.
People in Need has been helping Ukraine since 2014, and since February 24, 2022, support has increased. Over the past year, the organization has helped more than 890,000 war victims and provided assistance worth EUR72.2 million. All this would not have been possible without the support of 200 local non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations.
