Hotel operator Reikartz intends to appeal decision to seize assets
KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian hotel operator Reikartz Hotel Group (Kyiv) intends to appeal the court decision on the seizure of assets at the request of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the hotels continue to operate.
"What is happening is reminiscent of an attempted illegal takeover or a witch hunt, as the competent authorities know that the owners of the company have Turkish and Israeli citizenship, they are opponents of the war, the regime in the Russian Federation and are patriots of Ukraine, investing significant funds in Ukraine since 2006 ", the Reikartz said on its website.
According to it, the main owner of the company has a work and residence permit in the country, and is also a tax resident of Ukraine. The company said that the information in the statement of the prosecutor’s office does not correspond to reality, and the hotels of the chain continue to work in Ukraine.
As reported, at the request of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the corporate rights of the hotel chain were seized for a total amount of more than UAH 15.5 million and a number of real estate objects, the ultimate beneficiary of which is a citizen of the Russian Federation.
