Hostyny Dvir taken under state security – Ministry of Culture
KYIV. Aug 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since August 26, the national monument Hostyny Dvir is under the state security of the National Police of Ukraine, the press service of the department reported.
"The establishment of state protection is the first step in order to start urgent repair work in Hostyny Dvir, while, taking into account the opinion of specialists and society, the concept for the development of Hostyny Dvir is approved, scientific and project documentation is developed," the press service of the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko said on Thursday.
Previously, the security was carried out by the tenant’s private security guards.
As reported, on May 19, the Cabinet of Ministers changed the category of the Hostyny Dvir monument in Kyiv to the category of national importance, and also assigned a security number.
On June 18, the State Property Fund of Ukraine transferred Hostyny Dvir to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
