Holos initiates extraordinary meeting of Rada to vote for bill on oxygen stations

KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The parliamentary faction Holos initiates an extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on November 2 to consider the bill on oxygen stations, the press service of the political force reports on its Facebook page.

"The medical system of Ukraine is on the verge of collapse. The number of seriously ill with coronavirus is growing rapidly, and there is a critical lack of oxygen in hospitals. The situation needs an immediate solution, so Holos, together with its European Solidarity colleagues, will initiate an extraordinary session of parliament on Tuesday, November 2," the message says.

The MPs, in particular, demand to immediately adopt as a whole the bill of the Holos faction MP Inna Sovsun, No. 5460 on oxygen stations. This document was voted on at the first reading back in July, but it remained in the air. It provides for the installation of powerful oxygen stations in all hospitals with COVID departments.

In Holos they said that oxygen stations are more effective for the treatment of severe patients than concentrators.
