Hero of Ukraine Zhemchuhov announces death of former prisoner of Kremlin Hennadiy Afanasiev at front
KYIV. Dec 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Hero of Ukraine, "Luhansk partisan" Volodymyr Zhemchuhov announces the death of former political prisoner Hennadiy Afanasiev at the front.
"The best are leaving. We won’t forgive, we won’t forget! Unfortunately, the leadership of the territorial defense headquarters in Kyiv already knows everything. Afanasiev Hennadiy Serhiyovych born on November 8, 1990, member of the 130 battalion of the 241 territorial defense brigade. Call sign Thor. He died in Luhansk region near Bilohorivka. The body is already in a morgue in Kramatorsk, tomorrow it will be sent to Dnipro," Zhemchuhov wrote on Facebook.
He also noted that relatives have already been informed of the death.
"There will be an identification procedure in Kryvy Rih. We are waiting for the departure," he added in the comments.
Hennadiy’s mother Olha Afanasieva, in the comments to one of her messages, noted that the information was confirmed.
