Health Ministry to revise norm regarding 80% of vaccinated employees of educational institutions
KYIV. Sept 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Health of Ukraine intends to revise the norm regarding the work of educational institutions with 80% of vaccinated teachers and employees, Deputy Minister of Health, Chief State Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin said in an online interview with medical expert of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine Kateryna Bulavinova.
"Now the norm on vaccination of 80% of school staff is being revised, because we understand that the time that we have allocated for the vaccination of teachers is not enough, teachers are vaccinated at a slow pace. Now we will weaken this norm: in the ‘yellow’ and ‘orange’ zones we will count 80% of those vaccinated with at least one dose," he said.
Kuzin added that it is not planned to close schools in the "red" zone, provided that 80% are vaccinated with two doses.
