Health Ministry in partnership with World Bank purchases over 6,000 units of medical equipment, consumables for them in 2022
KYIV. Aug 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Health of Ukraine, in cooperation with the World Bank, has purchased more than 6,000 units of medical equipment and necessary consumables and components since the beginning of 2022, according to the agency’s website, citing its head Viktor Liashko.
It is specified that, in particular, 20 health facilities in 13 cities of Lviv region received equipment in the amount of UAH 21 million, an anesthesia and respiratory apparatus, some 22 infusion pumps, two mobile X-ray machines, some 22 ultrasound machines, systems for vacuum wound therapy and other equipment.
According to Liashko, by the end of September, manufacturing companies will complete the delivery of 23 syringe pumps, some 56 aspirators, some 38 devices (for children and adults) for resuscitation, some 25 otoscopes and ophthalmoscopes and 11 laryngoscopes to hospitals in Lviv region.
By the end of 2022, the health facilities of the region and the regional center for disease control and prevention will also receive equipment to provide the "cold chain," in particular, 174 refrigerators for storing vaccines and 93 freezers for freezing and storing cold elements.
In addition, some 18 oxygen stations were distributed to health facilities in Lviv region, one hospital received an angiograph, six hospitals received CT scanners, and four more received X-ray machines.
