Head of companies TitanEra, Velta hopes for partnership with U.S. defense industry

KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Andriy Brodsky, CEO and co-owner of Velta and TitanEra LLC, is counting on partnership with the U.S. defense industry in the development of new titanium technologies.

"Today, I had the honor to show the TitanEra developments to Lieutenant-Colonel John Carter, Air Force Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine. And this meeting is absolutely not accidental," Brodsky wrote on Facebook on Wednesday, adding a photo to the text.

In doing so, he identified three main points of contact. First, the United States is constantly looking for a new titanium partner and this issue has long been defined as the protection of national security. Secondly, titanium and the defense industry are inextricably linked and are the most important aspect in the work of TitanEra, "especially in our difficult time from a military-political point of view: in military and civil aviation there is already an active growth of the market based on 3D printing and powder metallurgy. Third, "it is defense and new technologies. The military is definitely driving new technologies," the co-owner of the companies said.

"I am grateful for the feedback and I am sure that TitanEra will become the titanium partner for both my native country and our partners," Brodsky said.

TitanEra is a Ukrainian company based on Velta’s 15 years of experience in the global mining industry. TitanEra is the first in the world to build a pilot plant for the production of titanium powder and final titanium goods based on the patented Titanera Process. The technology allows titanium to be produced faster, it is less energy-intensive, and generates zero waste and emissions. Lines for the manufacture of test products have already been launched within the R&D center.

Velta LLC was registered in April 2000. The main activity is the extraction and production of ilmenite concentrate.
