Growth in industrial prices in Ukraine accelerates to 12.5% in Oct – statistics
KYIV. Nov 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The prices of industrial producers in Ukraine in October 2021 increased by 12.5%, while in September by 0.7%, in August – by 5.4%, in July – by 2.6%, in June – by 2.4%, the State Statistics Service said.
The State Statistics Service clarified that within Ukraine in October from September 2021, prices of industrial producers increased by 17.5%, for deliveries outside the country they decreased by 4%.
According to the report, in annual terms (in relation to the same month last year), in October 2021, prices in industry increased by more than 1.5 times, by 45.1% in September, by 46.5% in August, while in July – by 42.2%, June – by 39.1%.
For the ten months of 2021, the growth in prices of industrial producers amounted to 36.3% compared to the same period in 2020.
According to the statistics department, in extracting industry and quarrying in October this year, compared with the previous month, production fell in price by 4.4%. The growth in prices in extraction of coal was 10.1%, in extraction of crude oil and natural gas – 9.2%, while prices in extraction of metal ores decreased by 20.4%.
Prices for the supply of electricity and gas increased by more than 1.5 times, in energy production – by 42.8%, coke and refined products – by 11.5%, chemical products – by 8.3%, vehicles – by 5.1%, wood products – by 2.6%, at mechanical engineering enterprises – by 2.4%, in production of rubber and plastic products – by 1.8%, electrical equipment – by 1%, in processing industry – by 0.9%, in production of non-durable goods – by 0.8%, in textile industry – by 0.7%, prices of pharmaceutical products increased by 0.6%, production of durable goods – by 0.3%.
At the same time, prices decreased in production of intermediate consumption goods by 3.8%, in metallurgy – by 3.6%.
