Grocery retailers open more than 1,200 'points of invincibility'
KYIV. Feb 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Grocery retailers in Ukraine have already opened more than 1,200 "points of invincibility" equipped with generators, uninterrupted Internet and charging stations for gadgets, follows from a study by the Retail Association of Ukraine.
According to the association’s survey, "invincibility points" are equipped in 1,201 grocery stores, which is 45% of retail outlets owned by the retailers.
Thus, such points are open in all Metro (23), Auchan (17) and Fozzy С&C (nine outlets) hypermarkets, the study notes. Nine points are equipped in the Varus chain, in eight Mi Market stores, as well as in half of all supermarkets of the Novus chain. At the same time, according to the survey, most of the points are open in the ATB network.
Some 15 leading retail chains of Ukraine took part in the survey, the association notes.
