Govt to provide draft state budget-2022 within timeframe established by law – Razumkov
KYIV. Aug 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will submit the draft state budget for 2022 within the timeframe established by law, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov said.
"The Verkhovna Rada always adheres to the deadlines that should be […] We expect the draft budget from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine until September 15. According to preliminary information, they will do everything in a timely manner, [observing] the requirements of the law," Razumkov told reporters on Monday, August 30, in Donetsk region.
According to the speaker of the parliament, as soon as the draft budget arrives at the Verkhovna Rada, specialized committees will start working on it.
"All the committees are ready for this […] a specialized committee will operate in each area […] The budget committee will bear the greatest burden, it is also already preparing for this process," Razumkov said.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada also said that budget requests of the regions were submitted to the ministries on time.
"I hope that we will see a balanced budget, taking into account all the challenges that will be in the next year – this is the war, first of all, and support for the Ukrainian army, and the state defense order […] These are infrastructure projects, and COVID-19, Covid-19, unfortunately, it also does not disappear[… We, as an army, must be ready for any challenges and respond to them quickly," Razumkov said.
