Govt reassigns architectural and construction control supervision to State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning
KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the transfer of powers and functions of the implementation of state architectural and construction control and supervision to the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning.
The resolution was approved by the government at a meeting on Wednesday.
According to an explanatory note to the document, at the beginning of September, the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning had 198 employees, which covers 30% of vacancies.
"The draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposes to provide the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning with the possibility of exercising powers and performing the functions of an executive authority," the government said in the document.
The government also approved the creation of the territorial bodies of the new inspectorate.
In addition, the government resolution on the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine and a number of related documents have become invalid.
"The first two stages of reform have already been passed, the last one is ahead – as much as possible digitalization and toughening administrative and criminal responsibility. It is provided for in three key bills –No. 5877, No. 5655 and No. 5656. All of them will be considered in the near future," Minister of Community Development and territories Oleksiy Chernyshev said on his Facebook.
