Govt proposes to Rada to simplify conditions for construction of base stations for mobile network operators
KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – At a meeting on Wednesday, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a bill that will halve the time for the procedure for obtaining a land plot for the construction of a base station for 4G communications, and submitted it to the Verkhovna Rada.
As noted in a message in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the bill is designed to help deploy a 4G network faster and more efficiently throughout the country and accelerate the spread of high-quality mobile communications for Ukrainians.
"Previously, to obtain a land plot for the construction of a base station, it took from 245 days to a year. Thanks to the bill, it will be possible to do this twice as fast," the ministry said.
It will also help to cover not only national roads and weak sections, but also to implement one of the main goals of the Ministry of Digital Development – to provide access to high-speed Internet for 95% of the population.
