KYIV. March 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Government of Ukraine’s Priority Action Plan for 2023 provides for the initiation of assistance for the economic reintegration of labor migrants.
According to government resolution No. 221 of March 14, in particular, support for citizens who find themselves in difficult circumstances is identified as one of the priority areas for 2023.
According to the priority action plan, by December this year, the Ministry of Economy must develop and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers a bill on the introduction of assistance for the economic reintegration of labor migrants.
It is noted that the bill will provide for the introduction of a program for the economic reintegration of Ukrainian citizens who have worked abroad for a long time, by developing an incentive mechanism for the return of labor migrants.
In addition, by April, the Ministry of Economy must develop a draft act on the introduction of distance and dual forms of vocational training for the unemployed.
In addition, by December, the Ministry of Economy must introduce new and improve existing employment programs for the unemployed, including combatants, war veterans, people of pre-retirement age, and youth, to integrate them into the labor market, as well as change approaches to the work of the state employment service in order to provide quality customer-oriented services.
