Govt increases compensation to employers for employment of IDPs to UAH 6,700 – PM
KYIV. Jan 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has increased the amount of compensation to employers for employment of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to UAH 6,700, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
"An important component of IDP support is compensation to employers for their employment – UAH 6,500 for two months for each IDP worker. Last year, employers were paid about UAH 199 million under this program," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
The prime minister also said that the government is making a decision, according to which the amount of compensation will increase to UAH 6,700.
"This will encourage businesses to more actively attract IDPs to their enterprises," Shmyhal said.
