Govt authorizes Agrarian Ministry to determine critical infrastructure facilities among agro-industrial enterprises
KYIV. Dec 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine authorized the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine to approve a list of critical infrastructure facilities for the food industry and agro-industrial complex to provide them with electricity as a matter of priority.
According to the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the agency is currently forming a working group to identify and categorize critical infrastructure facilities among Ukrainian agribusiness enterprises.
On December 16, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted resolution No. 1384, making the above changes to resolution No. 1109 on some Issues of critical infrastructure objects dated October 9, 2020.
As reported, in early December, the government gave Ukrainian bakery and dairy enterprises a priority in providing electricity, classifying them as businesses producing goods that are critical for the population.
Last week, the Ukrainian Grain Association asked the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy to include grain elevators in a business group that produces critical goods and products and has the right to receive electricity as a priority.
