Govt approves state program for aviation industry development until 2030

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian aircraft industry in 2021-2030 will sell products for UAH 300-350 billion ($11-13 billion at the current exchange rate).

The relevant state target scientific and technical program for the development of the aviation industry for these years was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday.

According to Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky, the implementation of the program will have a positive effect on the creation in Ukraine of innovative technologies, materials, production processes and equipment that will be used in mass production of aircraft and other aviation equipment.

Presenting the document at a government meeting, he added that the program is expected to allocate about UAH 100-120 billion to the budgets of all levels, which will ensure a 1.6-fold increase in wages in the industry compared to 2020.

In addition, it is planned to create at least 6,000 jobs in the industry until 2030, Urusky said.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the implementation of the program will also allow the launch of international projects for the cooperative development of An aircraft with foreign partners, and increase exports of aircraft equipment and services to UAH 150-200 billion.

The text of the approved program is not yet available on the websites of the government and the Ministry for Strategic Industries.
