Govt approves list of museums, reserves that store museum items of state part of Museum Fund of Ukraine

KYIV. Dec 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the list of museums and reserves that store museum items that are state property and belong to the state part of the Museum Fund of Ukraine.

The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on Thursday, December 2.

It is reported that the purpose of the document is to update the list of museums and reserves that store museum items that are state property and belong to the state part of the Museum Fund of Ukraine, to ensure control over the activities of museums, accounting, preservation, and use of museum items of the state fund.

The ministries, other central executive authorities, regional and Kyiv city state administrations were instructed to submit to the Ministry of Culture information on newly created, reorganized or liquidated museums and reserves to the Ministry of Culture annually until January 15.
