Govt approves decision to attract EUR 18 bln macro-financial assistance from EU in 2023
KYIV. Jan 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the decision to attract macro-financial assistance from the European Union in the amount of up to EUR 18 billion in 2023.
Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk said on the Telegram channel that the decision was made at a government meeting on Tuesday.
In particular, a loan from the European Union was approved in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between Ukraine as a borrower and the EU as a lender.
A loan agreement was also approved between Ukraine as a borrower, the National Bank of Ukraine as an agent of the borrower, and the European Union as a lender.
It is noted that these decisions were made as part of the instrument for providing Ukraine with macro-financial assistance in the amount of up to EUR 18 billion in 2023.
