Govt allows Justice Ministry in 2021 to purchase legal services under negotiation procedure in Ukraine v. Russia claims
KYIV. Nov 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allowed the Ministry of Justice to perform legal services in 2021 using the negotiation procedure in cases on Ukraine v. Russia claims.
The decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday.
This decision was made to properly defend the rights and interests of Ukraine in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) during its consideration of Ukraine’s claims against the Russian Federation in connection with its temporary occupation of Ukrainian territory and other illegal actions by the aggressor state.
These are the cases Ukraine v. Russia (regarding Crimea) and Ukraine v. Russia (IX).
