KYIV. Aug 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 103.3 million from the state budget reserve fund to the Ministry of Economy for a new budget program to provide grants for creating or developing a business, Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, has said in his Telegram channel.
The government made the relevant decision at a meeting on Tuesday.
According to the report, UAH 74.3 billion out of UAH 103.3 million was allocated for the provision of micro-grants to create or develop their own business, and UAH 29 million for grants for the creation or development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture.
As reported, on June 21, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 16 billion from the reserve fund of the state budget to the Ministry of Economy for the implementation of this budget program.
Recipients of irrevocable microgrants for the development or creation of new horticulture, berry growing, viticulture and greenhouse facilities can be private entrepreneurs, agricultural companies and farms that own or lease land for a period of at least 25 years.
The amount of microgrants issued under the program of partial compensation for the cost of constructed greenhouses will be from UAH 5 million to UAH 7 million. Also, farmers will be provided with UAH 300,000 to UAH 400,000 per 1 hectare of orchards, which corresponds to approximately 70% of the average cost of their planting.
