KYIV. Dec 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Georgian government has purchased 25 powerful (from 150 to 500 kW) generators for Ukraine with a total value of over GEL 1.4 million, a ceremony was held on Wednesday to load them for further shipment to Ukraine, the Ukrainian embassy in Georgia reports.

"On December 21, 2022, Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in Georgia Andriy Kasianov, together with Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Romeo Mikautadze, took part in the ceremony of loading 25 powerful [from 150 to 500 kW] power generators, with a total cost of over GEL 1.4 million, purchased by the government of Georgia for further shipment to Ukraine," the message reads.

It is noted that we are talking about generators for industrial use, which can be used to ensure the smooth operation of hospitals, heat and power plants and power stations, pumping units for supplying drinking water and other vital facilities.

"The Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia expresses its gratitude to the Government of Georgia and personally to Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili, as well as to all employees of the executive authorities of Georgia, who joined the charitable cause of helping thousands of civilians in Ukraine," the diplomatic mission stressed.

They added that thanks to the help and support of friends and allies, including from fraternal Georgia, Ukraine is winning this battle with "world evil – Russian fascism."

"No cruise or ballistic missiles, strike UAVs and kamikaze drones, which are launched almost daily by the war criminals of Putin’s Russia on residential buildings and power plants, are capable of bringing the people of Ukraine to their knees, but only of strengthening our enthusiasm for a complete and irrevocable victory over the Russian invaders," the embassy summed up.
