Georgia won't provide military aid to Ukraine – PM
TBILISI. Dec 7 (Interfax) – Georgia has provided and is providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine, but it will not offer it military aid, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told journalists on Wednesday.
"We are providing maximum aid to Ukrainian refugees staying here. Ukrainian children are receiving education in their native language in our country. We will also consider providing other humanitarian aid. As for military aid, as we have said clearly before, we won’t do that," Garibashvili said.
Georgia as a state will never be involved in the military conflict in Ukraine, he said.
"I’d like to recall once again that officials in Ukraine have stated publicly that they’d wish for a second front to be opened in Georgia. The ruling force in our country is responsible to its people and acts based exclusively on the interests of its people and state," Garibashvili said.
