Gazprom's gas production down 13.2%, domestic market supply 2.3% in 7.5 months
MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Gazprom produced 274.8 billion cubic meters of gas in the period January 1-August 15, 2022, according to preliminary data, down 13.2% or 41.7 bcm from the same period of last year, the Russian gas giant said.
Domestic market demand for the company’s gas from the gas transmission system fell 2.3% or by 3.6 bcm.
Exports to non-FSU countries fell 36.2% or by 44.6 bcm to 78.5 bcm.
Gas exports to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline under the long-term contract between Gazprom and CNPC are growing and regularly exceed daily contractual limits.
