Gazprom to boost gas production to 510 bcm, exports to 183 bcm
MOSCOW. Aug 31 (Interfax) – Gazprom will boost gas production by 55 billion cubic meters to more than 510 bcm in 2021, the company’s CFO Alexander Ivannikov said on a conference call.
Gas exports in 2021 will be 183 bcm, up 6 bcm from in 2020, the CFO said. In May, the company forecast gas exports of 175-183 bcm of gas.
"According to our forecasts, the group’s gas production this year will increase by more than 55 bcm and will exceed 510 bcm, a 10-year high. That will among other things enable us to export 183 bcm to Europe, 6 bcm more than last year," Ivannikov said.
Asked how the launch of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline might affect export plans, he said: "The figure of 183 [bcm] in this case does not change depending on transport flows, it remains unaltered."
"Earlier we published figures by which we theoretically allow for 5.6 bcm that might flow through Nord Stream 2 by the end of the year, but potential changes won’t have a global effect on the volume for the year," he said.
Ivannikov also said that condensate production will be 16 million tonnes in 2021, which is about the same as in 2020.
The average price of gas in Europe for all of 2021 is $270/1,000 cubic meters, the CFO said. This corresponds to an earlier estimate.
