G.R. Agro supports introduction of automatic dimensional, weight control of vehicles in Ukraine
KYIV. Sept 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Group of Companies G.R. Agro supported the introduction in Ukraine of automatic dimensional and weight control of vehicles, since the operation of vehicles in a normal mode without overloading can reduce the cost of depreciation and repair of equipment, as well as increase safety and preservation of goods over long distances.
Such a commentary to law No. 1534-IX adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in June 2021, which enshrines the possibility of automatic fixing of violations if vehicles exceed weight or dimensional restrictions, was posted on the grain trader’s website on Wednesday.
The advantages of this law are the minimization of costs for depreciation and repair of vehicles, the ability to clearly build a schedule and routes for drivers, an increase in the average delivery distance from 100 km to 350-450 km, a reduction in the risk of accidents due to possible unforeseen car breakdowns on the way, safety and preservation of cargo over long distances.
G.R. Agro also predicts a significant improvement in the quality of strategic roads, due to a reduction in road surface deformation by overloaded vehicles, as well as compliance with the thermal regime of cargo transportation.
The group clarified that its road freight traffic this season has doubled in the direction of the Ukrainian ports compared to the last year season, while since July the fleet of 60 grain trader vehicles has traveled over 200,000 km in total.
As reported, law No. 1534-IX (bill No. 3742), adopted in June 2021 by the Verkhovna Rada, introduces administrative liability for offenses in the field of road transport safety, recorded using photo and film shooting, video recordings, including those recorded in automatic mode.
