Funding for defense, security sector to exceed UAH 320 bln – Zelensky
KYIV. Dec 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Funding for the defense and security sector in Ukraine in 2022 will exceed UAH 320 billion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.
"I am proud that for the first time in 30 years, in 2022 funding for the defense and security sector will exceed UAH 320 billion. Despite the fact that in 2018 this amount was only UAH 192 billion," Zelensky said speaking in the Verkhovna Rada with his annual address about the internal and external situation of the country.
According to the President, these funds, among other things, will be used to launch an integrated missile program, a program to restore the Ukrainian fleet and create cyber troops in Ukraine.
