Funded pensions can be accumulated in state fund or private pension funds – Deputy head of President's Office
KYIV. Sept 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The single social security contribution and state budget subsidies are considered as possible sources for launching the mandatory funded pension system, funds can be accumulated in a state fund or private pension funds, as well as in pension accounts in banks, Deputy Head of the Office said President Yulia Svyrydenko has said.
"We consider single social security contributions among the possible sources of funded contributions, as well as budget subsidies. Funds can be accumulated in a state fund and private pension funds, as well as in pension accounts in banks," Svyrydenko said, answering a question from Interfax-Ukraine.
She added that the Committee on Social Policy and Protection of the Rights of Veterans of the Verkhovna Rada is working on a bill to introduce funded pensions from 2023.
