Funded pension system could be launched in 2024 – Social policy minister
KYIV. Sept 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna has said that the funded pension system could start operating in the country from 2024.
"In the autumn, the Verkhovna Rada’s agenda is to adopt a bill on the funded system. I think this will be only the first reading," she said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The minister said that after the adoption of the document at the final reading, it will take some time for the development of infrastructure.
"We wanted people to save in their saving accounts in 2023, but perhaps it will be 2024 as well," Lazebna said.
