Freight turnover in Kazakhstan rose 1.8% in 11M
ALMATY. Dec 15 (Interfax) – Freight turnover in Kazakhstan totaled 548.929 billion tonne-km in January-November 2022, an increase of 1.8% year-on-year, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.
Rail transportation increased 5% to 285.308 billion tonne-km, while road transportation declined 7.6% to 130.966 billion tonne-km.
Sea transportation grew 17% to 624.8 million tonne-km, while air transportation fell 30.3% to 48.8 million tonne-km.
Pipeline transportation went up 5.4% to 131.966 billion tonne-km.
Passenger traffic increased 9.6% year-on-year to 104.294 billion passenger-kilometers.
