Fraudsters try to lure out bank card numbers under pretext of paying UAH 1,000 for vaccination – Liashko
KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In Ukraine, fraudulent schemes have emerged, in which attackers, on behalf of the Ministry of Health, try to deceive the Ukrainians with bank card numbers and other personal data under the pretext of paying "COVID" UAH 1,000 for vaccinations, Health Minister Viktor Liashko said.
"I would like to draw your attention to the emergence of new methods of fraudsters to deceive funds. Currently, on behalf of the Ministry of Health, they send information with a request to send a card number [bank card] and other personal data to receive UAH 1,000 for a full course of vaccination against COVID-19. No messages were formed or sent to citizens on behalf of the ministry," he said at a briefing on Monday.
Liashko also said that the program of targeted financing of vulnerable categories of business during the quarantine will begin on December 19. The mechanism for obtaining financial assistance is online through the Diia mobile application.
