France to assist Ukraine in acquiring GM 200 radar – media
KYIV. Jan 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – France will assist in the acquisition of GM 200 (Ground Master 200) radar systems for Ukrainian air defense, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said at a joint briefing with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov during his visit to Paris, according to the Yevropeiska Pravda (European Truth) online publication.
As Lekornu pointed out, Reznikov told him in December about Ukraine’s need for such radars. According to him, an agreement on the acquisition of these radars should be signed on Wednesday at the expense of a special fund created by France to support Ukraine.
The minister also added that France is coordinating with its allies to ensure that Ukraine always has a sufficient number of missiles to the transferred Crotale air defense systems.
