France intends to professionally train 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers by summer – Defense Minister
KYIV. Jan 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecornu said that France intends to professionally train 2,000 Ukrainian military personnel before the beginning of the summer, as well as send specialists to train Ukrainian soldiers in Poland.
“The decision we made at the end of December last year is now being translated into concrete actions. Our goal is to train 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers professionally before the beginning of summer. And also the professional training of Ukrainian soldiers on the territory of Poland and with the support of Polish colleagues,” Lekornu said at a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov in Paris.
The Minister informed that next month the French military will go to Poland to train up to 600 Ukrainian soldiers there per month.
