France, Germany respond to Russia's proposal, intend to organize meeting of Normandy format FMs as soon as possible – French MFA
KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The French Ministry for European and Foreign Affairs denied the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that it was impossible to hold a ministerial meeting in the Normandy format on November 11, since there was no reaction to Russia’s proposals on the final document of the meeting.
"This is not the case. France and Germany responded to Russia’s proposals. They propose to organize a ministerial meeting in the Normandy format, which the Russian foreign minister refused. Our goal remains to organize a ministerial meeting in the Normandy format as soon as possible in order to overcome differences and give a new political impetus to the negotiations," spokesperson for the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France said at a briefing on Tuesday, the French Embassy in Ukraine said.
