Five vessels to deliver Ukrainian food products to Tunisia, Libya, Kenya, Turkey, Spain

NEW YORK, UN. Dec 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Five bulkers carrying corn, wheat and soya beans departed Ukrainian ports on Monday, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) said.

"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports that five vessels left Ukrainian ports today [on December 19], carrying a total of 171,000 metric tonnes of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the center said.

In particular, the Ince Atlantic vessels is heading to Kenya with 44,000 tonnes of wheat on board, the Tunisia-bound Bosphorus Asia is transporting 30,500 tonnes of corn, and the Princess Manissa is carrying 20,500 tonnes of corn to Libya.

The Ulusoy 8 is carrying 21,000 tonnes of soya beans to Turkey, and the Cyclades is carrying 55,000 tonnes of corn to Spain.

"Grains that reach a destination may go through processing and be trans-shipped to other countries," the JCC said.

Another five vessels transited the maritime humanitarian corridor on Monday on their way to the Ukrainian ports.

"As of 19 December, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 14,365,211 metric tonnes. A total of 1,139 voyages (571 inbound and 568 outbound) have been enabled so far," the JCC said.
