Five Ukrainian regions in terms of hospitalization meet 'orange' level of epidemic danger – Health Ministry

KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The number of persons hospitalized with coronavirus infection in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Ternopil and Cherkasy regions increased by more than 50% in seven days as of September 25, which, in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 9, 2020 No. 1236, corresponds to "orange" zone of epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19, the website of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported on Sunday.

At the same time, in Kirovohrad region, such a large hospitalization rate was achieved on Saturday for the first time in recent days, and in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson it exceeded 50% on Friday, but now it has significantly decreased.

The situation in other regions and in Kyiv corresponds to the "yellow" zone. At the same time, Kirovohrad and Zakarpattia regions in terms of the incidence rate (75 cases per 100,000 people), and Kyiv, in terms of the infection detection rate (4%), correspond to the "green" zone. Also, the "green" zone corresponds to the coverage of testing (300 vaccinated people per 100,000 people) in all regions of Ukraine.
