Five strategic enterprises transferred to Defense Ministry to work 24/7 – Shmyhal
KYIV. Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Five strategic enterprises – Ukrnafta, Ukrtatnafta, AvtoKrAZ, Motor Sich and Zaporizhtransformator (ZTR) will work 24/7 to meet the defense needs of the state, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
"The shares of five enterprises – Ukrnafta, Ukrtatnafta, KrAZ, Motor Sich and Zaporizhtransformator – have become military property, transferred under the control of the Ministry of Defense. As of today, the shares have been forcibly alienated into state ownership. This took place exclusively in accordance with applicable law," he said.
According to Shmyhal, "these five enterprises should fully meet the defense needs of our state in wartime. Strategically important enterprises supply products that are critically needed for the needs of our army."
"They must work 24/7 for the needs of our state," he stressed.
"Those who work will continue to work, there will be more orders and guarantees from the state. Those who did not work today, their work will be restored, labor collectives will return to work. Their potential will be fully used," the prime minister said.
