Five ships loaded with food to leave Ukrainian ports consistent with grain deal – UN
NEW YORK, UN. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Five ships carrying food, which have been cleared by the Joint Coordination Center, will leave Ukrainian ports on Friday consistent with the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the United Nations said in a statement.
The UN has sanctioned the departure of four ships carrying a total of 69,600 tonnes of grain and other foods under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the UN said. Another ship, whose departure has been delayed until Friday, will leave the port, too.
According to the UN, MV Breeze (47,200 tonnes of rapeseeds) will be destined for Germany, MV Annabella (8,500 tonnes of rapeseeds) will go to Romania, MV Navin Vulture will bring 7,500 tonnes of corn and barley to Greece, and MV CS Cihan will deliver 6,400 tonnes of soybeans to Egypt.
MV Octopus, which has delayed departure from Pivdenny port, will be going to Romania on September 16 with 6,500 tonnes of corn onboard.
As of September 15, some 3,259,096 tonnes of grain and other foods have been exported from three Ukrainian ports. The movement of 313 ships, including 169 inbound and 144 outbound, has been authorized to date, the UN said.
