Financial Stability Council proposes to expand tools, optimize budget of Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program
KYIV. Dec 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Financial Stability Council, which includes, in particular, the leadership of the National Bank (NBU) and the Ministry of Finance, following a meeting on December 8, proposed to revise the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program, in particular, to expand the number of tools and at the same time optimize the budget of the program, the NBU press service said on Wednesday.
According to the report, the relevant changes will help make a gradual transition of borrowers – program participants to pay non-zero interest rates.
It is indicated that the Ministry of Finance, relevant ministries and the National Bank will work together to improve the program.
