Finance Ministry lowers forecast of payments on Ukraine's state debt in 2021 by UAH 5 bln

KYIV. Sept 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine lowered the forecast of payments on public debt in 2021 by UAH 5.05 billion, to UAH 596.25 billion, according to the September forecast on the ministry’s website.

According to the Ministry of Finance, at the same time, the forecast for payments in 2022 was increased by UAH 5.02 billion, to almost UAH 425.8 billion.

At the same time, the forecast of payments in July-September 2021 was reduced by UAH 4.2 billion, to UAH 166.51 billion, in October-December – by UAH 0.85 billion, to UAH 124.76 billion.

The peak month for payments on the state debt is September with UAH 101.38 billion, according to the data of the Ministry of Finance. Peak payments on the state debt in 2022 are also expected in July-September (UAH 130.59 billion), while in January-March next year they should amount to UAH 128.54 billion, in April-June – UAH 101.38 billion, in October-December-2022 – UAH 65.27 billion.

The forecast of payments on domestic debt for 2021 in September decreased by almost UAH 3 billion, to UAH 440.15 billion.

In the third quarter 2021, payments on domestic debt should amount to UAH 80.52 billion, in the fourth – UAH 107.13 billion, according to the website of the Ministry of Finance.
