Finance Ministry does not plan emission financing, but does not rule out it
KYIV. Nov 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Finance and the National Bank plan to carry out emission financing in 2023, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said.
"We are not planning emission financing at all for the next year. I emphasize that we are not planning monetary financing for the next year," he said in an interview with LB.
He added that this year the Ministry of Finance agreed with the National Bank on the monthly allowable limit of such financing, worked within these limits for a rather long period and would not abuse it.
"I see an opportunity before the end of the year to quietly finance all the necessary, priority expenses, at least without expanding this corridor. Although we do not rule out this option, we do not plan at all," he said.
According to Marchenko, if Ukraine receives funds from partners in the amount of $3 billion monthly, emission financing will not be needed at all, so the main question is how much this can be provided.
