Final version of 'resource' bill should consider all business losses due to pandemic, not become compromise with conscience – Razumkov
KYIV. Aug 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov believes that the final version of "resource" bill No. 5600 on increasing a number of tax rates should take into account all the losses that businesses have suffered due to coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but at the same time not become a "compromise with conscience."
"This should not be a compromise with conscience. On the one hand, everyone understands that we must fill the budget, and on the other, we must not drive business. Especially when it comes to small and medium-sized businesses, which suffered the most after COVID-19. And we must take all this into account. I have not yet seen the final table of amendments, have not yet invited me personally to the committee. I introduced amendments to this bill, which I will insist on. I hope that they will be taken into account," Razumkov said at a briefing on Tuesday, answering a question from Interfax-Ukraine.
