Export Credit Agency included in state register of financial institutions
KYIV. Feb 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has included PкJSC Export Credit Agency (ECA) in the state register of financial institutions, according to the website of the regulator.
According to the report, the norms of the law on insurance established that the ECA is a resident insurer with a special status, which operates on the basis of a license to carry out ECA activities, including insurance, reinsurance, provision of guarantees.
ECA was created to stimulate export of goods (labor, services) of Ukrainian origin. The agency, on a voluntary and commercial basis, provides insurance, reinsurance, guarantees under contracts that ensure the development of exports.
The sole shareholder of PrJSC Export Credit Agency is the state represented by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. In accordance with the law on insurance, the state regulation and supervision of the activities of the ECA is carried out by the National Bank.
