Ex-management of Antonov State Enterprise causes UAH 1 bln damage to company – audit results
KYIV. Aug 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The former management of the Antonov state enterprise caused damage to the company for a total amount of about UAH 1 billion over the period from October 1, 2020 to March 31, 2022, acting Director General of the Antonov State Enterprise Yevhen Havrylov said in a video address on Thursday following the results of the state audit.
"The company suffered losses of more than UAH 16.5 million. Due to the inaction of the former management, the company lost more than UAH 840 million. The amount of unreasonable additional expenses amounted to almost UAH 51 million. In general, the audit found financial violations for almost UAH 1 billion," Havrylov said.
He said that after receiving the results of the state audit of the Antonov State Enterprise, the prosecutor’s office initiated nine criminal cases against the former management of the company.
According to the new head of Antonov Enterprise, among the recorded violations are excessive expenses, non-transparency in the implementation of certain financial transactions, inefficient disposal of property, and shortfall in income.
"Jet fuel was purchased not from manufacturers, but from intermediaries. As a result, the company overpaid about UAH 9 million. The company also purchased a CT scanner for UAH 23.5 million, which had not been used for more than a year," Havrylov said.
He added that Antonov State Enterprise suffered significant damage due to the invasion of the Russian Federation as a result of the destruction of part of the air fleet and infrastructure facilities of the airport in Hostomel.
