Ex-Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine to replace Swiecicki as business ombudsman – Cabinet decision
KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Former Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Waschuk will take the post of business ombudsman from 2022, replacing Marcin Swiecicki in this position, government spokesman in parliament Taras Melnychuk has said.
As he pointed out on the Telegram channel following the government meeting on Thursday, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the relevant decision of the Business Ombudsman Council on the election of Waschuk.
Former Warsaw Mayor Marcin Swiecicki was appointed Business Ombudsman in 2019. Waschuk also completed his five-year term as ambassador in 2019. He was reported to have retired after that.
